-Several new recordings are now in the mixing stage, including a session with my new Super Marimba band, which includes Ted Poor on drums, Todd Sickafoose on bass, and Alex Hamlin and Ken Thomson on bari saxophones. On the same day I also recorded a solo disc of improvised marimba music. There is also a new recording with Peter Evans and Elliott Sharp of improvised music.
-A recording of my concertos for tabla and percussion quartet is now available on the ATMA label and through all major online retailers. Super Marimba and Super Marimba II are now available on all major online retailers. Go to the "recordings" page for ordering information.
-I've recently premiered new works I commissioned for solo marimba, including pieces by Robert Morris, Caleb Burhans, Stuart Saunders Smith, Charles Wuorinen, and David Saperstein. I'm currently learning Charles Wuorinen's new work that he wrote for me.
